Together We Can Beat This Pandemic

Constantly sanitizing has played a vital role in reducing the transmission of Covid-19 in businesses all over the world over the past several months. Professional cleaning will not be any less important as there are much higher expectations to ensure the safety of everyone entering commercial buildings. As important as cleaning is, there are more practices to keep yourself and the people around you safe. The good news is the number of active Covid-19 cases has been decreasing, but there is still a chance of a second outbreak so we ask that you actively incorporate these guidelines into your daily routines!

Hygiene

Hand Washing

Please continue to wash your hands, we need to maintain the level of hygiene that was recommended during the peak of the pandemic. It may be awhile before you should be shaking hands with anyone or not using hand sanitizer before entering a building, but these are the necessary safeguards recommended by health authorities and the government to reduce community spread. The CDC has an informational guide on proper hand-washing techniques and the most important times throughout your day that you should be washing them that you can see here. If you are not able to wash your hands regularly, hand sanitizer is the recommended alternative. Additionally you can combine your hygiene habits with face masks which block your face from droplets of airborne germs and prevent you from spreading the virus as well if you are an unknown carrier. The World Health Organization’s website can provide more information on suggested masks.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Rotary Club of Golden for supplying hand sanitizer to the essential businesses that remained open during lockdown. Their response was quick and allowed many businesses to maintain sanitary workplaces.

Social Distancing

Social Distancing of 6 Feet or 2 Meters

Golden is a small town with a small population, making it vastly different from some of the nearby towns or cities who had a significantly higher number of cases due to their population density. Locals have done an amazing job of social distancing during quarantine though as a result of the countless trails and activities around Golden to keep us entertained. And luckily spring was just beginning during the initial lockdown so we had the outdoors to keep us occupied while understanding that we couldn’t be walking around downtown to shop or dine. But as the economy opens back up and we are allowed back into restaurants and shops please comply with the social distancing and maximum occupancy requirements inside of businesses. Many will have stickers on the floors to queue and if not, the suggested distance is six feet of space between customers. Our local shops and restaurants will have to follow the regulations set for them and as their patrons we should be respectful of that, as they are acting in everyone’s best interest. Please also understand that certain services may take longer than usual because of the precautions they are taking and we ask that you are patient with the staff providing a service for you.

If You Have Symptoms

Stay Home, Save Lives

Lastly, if you have any Covid-19 symptoms please self isolate! Even if your symptoms are mild it is vital to reduce the spread. Get tested and get healthy before coming in contact with anyone outside of your home, many areas of the world have shown us the damage the virus can do without timely quarantine. If you require assistance during self isolation there are many services like the Golden Food Bank that are here to assist you.

Kicking Horse Janitorial will continue cleaning to the high standards that have become a necessity wiht the pandemic, but we need your help too. Everyone has a part to play and by following the simple guidelines put in place for us, we can contain the number of cases in Golden. Please remember that just because restrictions are being lifted does not mean the virus has been eliminated. Continue to wash your hands, maintain a responsible safe distance from others and self isolate if you have symptoms.

A special thanks to all essential workers that persevered through the lockdown and continued to serve the community. We are grateful and we hope you don’t have to endure that experience again.
